MY WORK
I work in the following way: first, an idea, almost an anecdote, then a profound analyse of my reflection through the use of artistic references and etymological dictionaries. The time spent on manufacturing is part of the overall work: it is a time of consciousness / non-consciousness present in the very life of the object, which I produce within an intimate framework.
The technique is often diverted from its usual secure way, “offset”, leaving the object on balance between two worlds.

Fabric
It is linked to the intimate, to human. Amongst it qualities, textiles bring softness, protection, warmth. They hide or reveal.
Fabric has multiple functions; it frames either traps, cocoons and safety threads or wrapping which induce an infinite creative use of its connotations and technical specifications.

There is no distinction between material and form. Form arises from the nature of the material. Slackness, limpness provided by textile is linked to femininity, indoor, reversibility, removability, permeability, flexibility, sexuality and ambiguity. It is because of all these notions that soft material inspires me.
